Introduction to Fintech

As a leader and innovator in the non-profit sector and workforce culture, SHPO is a proactive organization that recognizes, prepares, educates, equip and train individuals and groups through workshops for the latest and upcoming trends in the economy and job workforce. We assist in retooling the workforce and communities for a more prosperous future. Often in economic or technical shifts jobs are lost, careers are disrupted and a major part of society becomes unemployed or homeless.

In the forefront of a leading technical wave and workforce change is 'Fintech, AI and Block Chain'. As this new technology platform integrates with current micro-economic and macro-economic systems we will see many changes in the workforce with automation, and also new opportunities. It will be a great time of prosperity but also change. Just as when computer technology entered the workforce decades ago, it changed how things were processed and also it created change and opportunities for the youth and those who adapted. We are now at the door of a new technical age Fintech, AI and Block Chain. The new careers and businesses are headed in this direction for the next 20 years.

What is Fintech? - Fintech is the new technology and innovation that aims to compete with traditional financial methods in the delivery of financial services. It is an emerging industry that uses technology to improve activities in finance. The use of smartphones for mobile banking, investing services and cryptocurrency are examples of technologies aiming to make financial services more accessible to the general public.

What is AI? - AI stands for artificial intelligence. Colloquially, the term "artificial intelligence" is used to describe machines that mimic "cognitive" functions that humans associate with other human minds, such as "learning" and "problem solving"

What is Block Chain? A blockchain is a decentralized, distributed and a public digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers so that any involved record cannot be altered retroactively, without the alteration of all subsequent blocks.
